RDU ReducerThe air preheater is to recover the heat from boiler flue gas so that it makes thermal efficiency increased by reducing renewable heat loss in the flue gas.
RDU of air preheater main component is required to start in advance before boiler starts and should be kept rotating for appropriate operating time even after boiler stops
in order to avoid uneven expansion and/or contraction which may result in cracking of rotor itself.
High inertia of rotor is driven by the Rotor Drive Unit. RDU consists of air driven motor, gear box and clutch.
